Movie Review: Neram

NERAM:

Neram is a romantic comedy thriller film simultaneously made in malayalam and tamil and is the directional debut of Alphonse Putharen.

About the movie:
Neram a movie with theme, there is a good time after every bad time is all about a day in chennai of many people who is in run for living their lives in the fast moving Neram (time). In the lead role is Nivin Pauly playing the role of Unemployed Graduate Mathew who lost his job in India due to a bombing in america. Now he had to conduct his sis marriage and need money for that, but his application for loan is denied by bank and he had to lend money from notorious money lender Vatti Raja (Simhaa) who kidnaps the dear ones of the people who he lend his money if not paid back in the time. On the other side Mathew has a childhood sweetheart Jeena (Nazriya Nazim) who he says was an average girl at her younger age but became beautiful just like every other girls saga as they grow up. Mathew has already asked her parents to marry her and they agreed but after his job loss her father loses faith in mathew and decides to get out out of this marriage. shortly due to his unemployment he could not pay back Vatti Raja's money in time and he gives Mathew a last day to do. In the day he has to give money within 5 o'clock. Unfortunately the same day Jeena decides to leave her house due to his fathers decision to make her marry another one and she asks Mathew to come and pick him. Mathew at last finds the money and he plans to give it to Vatti Raja and then pick her up. But things get twisted from there. and the story gets into adrenaline run from there.

Director Alphonse Putharen did his debut with an ordinary and told story but presented in beautiful way that never made it boring to watch.
Cinematography Anand C. Chandran was exclusive and fresh and made every scene spectacular to watch.
Editing by the director Alphonse Putharen was spot on and was the best amoung the recent released films.
Music by debutant Rajesh Murugesan was awesome and went through the flow of the movie.

About the Cast:
Nivin Pauly as Mathew did his part well and another impressive role after Thatahin Marayathu surely is a promise to Malayalam industry.
Nazriya as jeena played her part well and would make us happy with her cute looks and love expressions was the best.
Simhaa as the Vaati Raja was the best in the movie. He made it perfect and made his character spot on.
Lalu Alex as Johnykutty Jeena's father gets hilarious sometimes and not ready to lose in front of anyone did great with his role.
Shammi Thilakan as "SI Uuken Tintu" was the best comic part of the movie with his hilarious name he will amaze all of us his timings with funny elements.
Manoj K Jayan as Rayban again was another hilarious character and makes us laugh hard with his character.
Again Joju as Mathew's bro in law played a remarkable role in the movie.
Also many other characters like the trio thief friends, mathew's friend. Vatti raja's Bodyguards, Rayban's Bodyguards, Auto Driver... Many of them had small roles bu played the best way.
Totally in the star cast which was lead by Nivin was won by the villan and other characters more than Nivin and Nazriya.

Should you Watch:
"Neram" is not an untold story, it does not have a spectacular story, ends like a fairy tale and less realistic but the 1 hour 50 minutes movie guarantee us many funny moments to laugh and gives us an adrenaline run and would not be a waste of money or Your "NERAM". Even if doesnot like this you could atleast say "Neram randu thrathil undu. nalla neravum chitha neravum. chitha nerathinu sheham urapayittum oru nalla neram varum.."
Kudos to the team behind it and i surely will watch it again but always the final decision is yours...!!! :D
