Movie Review: Honey Bee

Honey Bee:

Honey bee is a comedy thriller genre, directional debut of Jean Paul Lal (lal Jr.)

About the movie:
The movie narrates the story of few friends alias Seban (Asif Ali), Angel (Bhavana), Abu (Sreenath Bhasi), Ambros (Balu), Sara (Archana Kavi) and Fernando (Baburaj) who is trying to make their troupe famous. One day two of them Sebastian ad Angel finds out they are in love. The fun element in this is that next day is Angel's marriage. and all this happens by the conversation between angel and her fiancee the SI of mattancherry. And Seban bursts into tears after tripping on the bachelor party she gives them and all of the friends comes to know about it. The problem is much bigger because Angel is the sister of four notorious criminal brothers Michael(Lal), Father Cochin(Suresh Krishna), Martin(Amith Chackalakal), Antony(Hasim). Still the friends decide to take Seban to marriage home to meet his Angel and the next day Seban finds Angel in their home and he couldnot remember what happened last night as he was in hangover and story turns into a whole new level because the marriage is stopped and the brothers starts looking for their much loved sister and seban and his friends now think what all happened was not needed but cannot be undone too.

Lal Jr., Jean Paul has done pretty good debut with a familiar story to all youngsters but narrated in simple and childish way which has been very effective.
Cinematography by Alby was pretty good and kept it with the new trendy movies, surely made kochi look beautiful and watch out for the under sea shots.
Editing by Rateesh Raj was cool and did good with awesome BG and was spectacular to watch.
Music and BG by Deepak Dev was spot on and was the best for trendy movies. but again he is said to be copied a song form Bob Marley's and Far East Movement's together.

About the cast:
Asif ali as Seban did his job with ease and has many similarities to his last character in "kili Poyi"
Bhavana as Angel was beautiful to watch and could see an experienced actress in screen still doing it fresh.
Sreenath Bhasi as Abu will steel your heart with his cute expressions and awesome  dialogue deliveries in kochi lingo.
Balu as Ambro was another freak character from kochi and could be seen usual in kochi was awesome to watch and was spot on with his character.
Baburaj as Fernando will make us laugh through out the movie with his horrid english even in the worst circumstances.
Archana Kavi as Sara Ambro's sis with a secret love did a good.
Lal as Micheal was the hotspot of the movie was brilliant and kept it in style through out the movie.
Suresh Krishna, Amith Chackalakal, Hasim as Lal's brother did awesome with their characters.
The total star cast of the movie was spectacular and was always spot on with their own characters. Kudos to the team.

Should you watch:
Honey bee- its tripping is fun filled thriller with childish way of narration which will keep us entertained all through the movie. With some Filthy dialogues and lot of beep sounds think twice going for it with your family. But for youth its a tripping fun filled movie. Also with the chemistry of Asif and Bhavana which seemed to be worked out well we could see a good love story and the final Smooch is very much welcomed ;) Scene aanu buddy!!!!
and as always the final decision is yours...!!!

My rating: 4/5
